I made this site because I was getting fed up with Imagestation resizing all my art when posting it somewhere and so I wanted a place of my own to store my artwork. But since I'm me I couldn't just upload the art and link it, I had to make it look nice. And of course I got carried away and had to add my fanfiction as well. Screencaps followed. Then textures. And scans. No idea what will be next. Knowing me...nothing good.

katastrophee went online in mid-August 2004. It went offline due to problems with my host in February 2006 and went online again with version 7.0 on March 1st, 2006.

This site contains 132 pieces of art (58 wallpapers, 46 banners, 28 avatars), 5 fics (4 roswell/da crossovers, one of which is complete, and one complete dreamer smut ficlette), 6447 screencaps and 18 textures. It consists of 243 pages and 9255 images. Total size: 363 MB. Most hits on one day: 532 on February 25th, 2005.

I coded this site myself with the help of HTML-Kit (even though I forgot to use its features half the time). For the graphics I used Paint Shop Pro 7, 8 & 9 as well as Animation Shop and Adobe Photoshop CS. The screencaps were made with PowerDVD and ReaConverter Pro. Statcounter is from statcounter.com.

Don't ask me how exactly I came up with the name. I guess I thought it was fitting. Part of the reason was of course that my first name is Kat (well, at least those are the first three letters of it) so it was a nice little word-play.
